Palaeography is the study of old handwriting. At first glance, many old documents will look illegible to the modern reader. Anna will be giving us some practical advice on how to decipher them. Working through a number of local documents of varying levels of difficulty, you will find that it becomes much easier to read old handwriting once you know how to approach it.
