Paul is a retired University Senior Lecturer in Geography. He now concentrates on researching, writing and lecturing in various fields of historical geography. His main academic interests are old maps, roads and tracks, and the Lake District. Other interests include limestone landscapes & caves, and towns & roads in medieval England. He has also published several books.
The lecture will look at the availability, coverage and accuracy of county, estate, enclosure, tithe, town,transport and Ordnance Survey maps.
