The talk is illustrated and describes the major events in the growth and development of this preserved railway system. It follows the start of the East Lancashire Railway Preservation Society in 1967 from the original base at Helmshore, subsequent move to Bury in 1972 and beginning of regular steam hauled passenger service in 1987 that has continued ever since.
