TLHS has recently been gifted a collection of 150 or so slides, formerly belonging to Joan Gilbert (nee Horrocks) of Edgworth. Joan was a teacher at St Anne's Primary School in Turton in the 1950s and 60s. Many of the photographs are of children at the school, and of cub scouts and girl guides field days and outings. Selected photographs from the collection have been reproduced below. Thank you to Michael Morgan for donating the slides.
