Guide: Hilary Ashton
Hilary Ashton, daughter of Lancashire born composer Ernest Tomlinson, will look at the history of light music and its connection to the BBC and include visual and audio information in her fascinating talk. There will be an opportunity to visit the library as part of the event.
Taking place at the Library of Light Orchestral Music, Victoria Hall, Knowsley St. Bolton. Parking is available either in the Market Place or Topp Way Car park.
- 7.15pm - Meet and greet
- 7.30pm to 8.30pm - Audio visual Talk given by Hilary Ashton, daughter of the Composer Ernest Tomlinson about the history of light music in the UK.
- 8.30pm – 9:00pm - Tour of library and exhibition
Please note that the library is located in the Sunday school at the Victoria Hall and is in the basement of the building being accessed via stairs.
